Commercial Description:
De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

33cl bottle. Pours gold with shades of yellow and light brown. The head is medium in size and off-white in color. It was difficult to pour of the sediment, so there were specks of sediment loosed into the glass. The aroma is thick and complex - vinous white raisins, thick malts, and a slight note of perfume. The flavor starts malty and sweet with heavy and delectable light-colored malts. There is a light, spicy, floral hop note that provides balance and a soft, fruity ester profile. At mid-tongue, the beer is lightly hoppy with sweet malts. The finish is dry with a nice hop bitterness to balance the malts. The mouthfeel is full, but definitely lighter than other De Dolle brews I tried this evening (Boskeun and Arabier). The carbonation is vigorous and tickles the tongue - in fact, it almost feels like the bubbles numbed the very tip of my tongue. Overall, a very malty tripel - sweet and tasty. It was not nearly as strongly hopped as I remembered - I shared a big bottle with a friend way back in 2001. That big bottle was a gusher, and it smelled and tasted very strongly of Saaz hops. This time around, it didn’t seem remotely as hoppy - but it was still quite good.

Brewed in Belgium !! Courtesy of AFI96, thanks Waylo. Pours a hazy yellow color with wonderful long lasting white head. The aroma of the abbey triple is awesome !!! smell of candy, zesty fruit, and spices. The taste is of candy, spices, and lemons. Mouthfeel is very spritzy that ends dry !!! De Dolle make some fine beers, get some.

Pours a hazy orange/amber with a massive off-white foamy head. Leaves nice lacing. Aroma of citrus, some fruits, yeast, and a dry alcohol. Very sweet, creamy caramel at first in the flavor with a spicey, fruity middle. The fizzy citrus and alcohol don’t surface until the finish, leaving a slightly bitter dryness.

Bottle from City Beer in SF. This is one hell of a tripel. Bottle was a gusher, but fortunately not much was lost. Pours hazy golden with a large white head with fairly large bubbles and good lacing. My friend that I shared this with said, "It looks like a real beer." Aroma is typical De Dolle yeast, bready malt, banana, apple, citrus, and spice. Flavor is yeasty with pale malt, green apple, citrusy tartness, banana, and some Noble hops. Palate is medium-full with lively carbonation. ABV well-hidden, but this is definitely not a weak beer by any means. Another great one from De Dolle.

A beer of joy that gives a rather sleepy feeling when drinking too much. The taste is typical for "De Dolle Brouwers" because of the choice of sugar.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with some floaties and a big fluffy off white head. It has a very nice and spicy aroma with notes of orange peel, rock candy, yeast and a hint of banana, cloves and grapes. The flavour is sweet with some bitterness as well and got notes of spices, yeast, malt and hops. Very nice and complex.
