De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

11.2oz bottle poured into tulip glass; pure Belgian deliciousness; I don’t know why the bitch is mad - I’m not after thoroughly enjoying a couple; beautiful pale color; sharp up front; dry; maybe it’s more like a typical tripel as it ages, but not now; more like a Belgian strong ale.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2015 Pours wheat like brown opaque colour with stable foamy white head. Visualy medium carbonation. Aroma without note of an alcohol, with hints of wheat, grape (muscat), citrus, apple and wine vinegar. flavor: smooth, sweet taste with notes of wheat, bread and fruity esters (grape, apple, plums, citrus) and dry / sweet finish (notes of candy sugar). Malt sweetnees is high, hop bitterness is mild - medium, body is mouth-coating. Alcohol is very well hidden.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden with a large, white head. Aroma is stone fruit, banana, peach, apricot, some vinous tones. Taste is along the same lines. Winegum, vinous flavors are strong. Really nice.

Bottle from Rudat in Dortmund. The beer has got a deep cloudy golden colour with a smooth body and steady head. Aroma of flowers, Belgian yeast and bread. Taste of light metallic Belgian yeast, old fruits, straw, dust, malt and grains. Little bit strange finish. Drinkable, yet nothing I’d enjoy a second time.

Bottle. Pours a burnt hazy orange colour with a huge persisting frothy head. Smells of citrus, cooked surgar and booze. Taste is similar; oranges, candied citrus, along with a warm almost to boozy aspect and a nice lingering biterness. Mouthfeel is excellent; really smooth and onctuous.

Bottle. My first from this brewery. Slightly hazy brown appearance. Sweet and slightly fruity. Strong presence of alcohol and a lingering sweet aftertaste. An excellent tripel and one that should be seriously respected.
