COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

Pours golden with off-white head - very good retention. Aroma is yeasty fruitness - some pear, apple (but nice, not green-apple of flavour), some tropical fruits as well. No phenolic note, spices are low. This aroma is excelent. Taste is dry but not watery, fruitness, some light caramel sweetness. This is world class tripel.

Cerveza con un aroma muy profundo, como a huerta y a campo, pero luego no es nada floral, tiene como un toque ahumado y un poco a miel y sobre todo frutas. Dejarla reposar un rato y gana mucho. Repetiría sin problemas.

33 cl bottle from Drink d’Annevoie, BE. Cloudy orange color with a crispy collapsing white head. Aroma: yeasty, fruity and and spiced. Well balanced Flavor: moderate sweet with a light bitter finish and light warming. Medium body and fizzy carbonation. A very nice triple!

Bottle. Murky honey poor, large foam head, almost like an unfiltered saison. Typical Dolle aroma of sugar/kandij, mixed with a lovely sour blend of apricots, cloves, nutmeg, anise, yeast/cheese. Yeast deposit reveals pear. Great stuff. Taste is anise, overwhelmingly. Also pear, a hint of mint, licorice...is this still a triple? Very hearty, very robust, doughy, quite a heavy taste (and maybe a little boozy even). Slightly sticky aftertaste. One is enough.

Tap. Opaque gold. Small head. Scattered lace. Faint nose of mild fruit, Belgian yeast. Very bubblegummy. Banana, apricot, candi sugar. Quintessential tripel. Very well camouflaged ABV.

This is quite a unique beer. In a lot of ways it tastes like a rather yeasty and alcoholic Tripel but there is this strong (after)taste of dough and pepper which gives this beer a unique identity.

Clear brilliant gold with a thin white head. Nice blonde Belgian malt sweetness with a wee ester note and gentle barnyard tones--a touch doughy and peppery. Lovely flavor of peppery yeast esters, sweet barnyard Belgian blonde malts, a touch of fruitiness, and a wee touch of fresh cut grass with a little kiss of booze warmth. Really swell.

Bottle. The cap opens with a small pop but luckily no gushing follows. Pours a golden body with some floating sediment, massive creamy head. Big malty aroma with all kinds of fruity esters and solid hoppiness. Taste has smooth maltiness mixing with a tenderly tart fruitiness and nice hop bitterness. Finish reveals the added sugar that helps to balance the alcohol. One of the best Abbey Tripels. After having a run of mediocre Tripels I am once again reminded why I love this style. I don’t know why this beer is called the way it is. It’s very smooth and coherent - probably the opposite of an actual mad bitch.
