Blond hazy body with a white head. Lightly sour aroma of hops, citrus. Moderately sour, lightly sweet quite complex flavour.

Hazey light yellow-gold in color with a white head. Not much for aroma. Lemmon meringue/lemmonade taste. Notes: ’10 Zythos

Säuerlicher Antrunk mit deutlichen Traubennoten, die sich absolt nicht zurückhalten. Ausgewogen, zuerst dezent getreidig, zum Ende kräuterartiger, hier geht das Bier etwas in die Sektrichtung. Interessantes Bier,d as sicherlich seine Liebhaber finden wird. 8/10/10/9//10

Thanks to Kris at De Dolle, sampled at the brewery from a glass he gave us. Bit of grape and perfume on the aroms, even a bit of pate. Pinot noir flavour is good in the mouth and the sourness on the finish is good. Bit too sour and wine influenced for me though.

Milky lemon yellow colour with no head at all. Big floral and yeasty aroma with some bacon fat and lots of yeast. It’s actually tremendously floral. The flavour is ridiculous. I’m struggling to describe this, it’s so far removed from what I know as beer. Stunning lemon and Pinot Noir, gloriously tart, slightly acidic and just beautifully fruity all round. The more I drink the better it gets. Something tells me if I drank enough of this, it would end up with a 5. It’s the best of both the wine and beer worlds. Big and assertive, yet soft, elegant and refined. Absolutely my sort of beer. Kris, I really appreciate the opportunity to try this.

Special sample from Kris, thank you. Hazy straw color with a very small off white head. Aroma is complex with yeast, honey, straw, oak and spices. Flavors of wild yeast, herbs, vanilla, vintage oak woods and spices. Low carbonation, light bitter and sour dry finish. Reminds me of some nice old gueuzes and white wines. Love the long lasting oak wood flavors. Really great brew.

On tap at ZBF. Hazy flat yellow colored beer with a white head. Aroma strange, bit yeast. Medium body. Taste sourness, fruits, spice, alcoholwarming mouthfeel.

Draught at Zythos Beer Festival 2010. Cloudy orange yellow, medium white head, decent lacing. Aroma of rising bread, orange peel. Taste is sweet-sour, full bodied, with apricot and peach skins. A successful experiment, I think.

Draught at ZBF 2010. Light light cloudy yellow colour with low head. Spicy sweetish nose. Vanilla honey-ish and harsh sweet-sour. Lactic sourish that makes my eyes water, but not from joy. Pale malty, and semi-full sweetness with honey. Seemingly young beer that would need time to settle and mature. Hard attack on the tastebuds here, where the beer sprawls all over.

Tap @ ZBF 2010. A hazy flat yellow colored beer with a white head. The aroma of sour with fruits and grains. The taste is dry sour. It has notes oif fruit. In a way it’s fresh. A typical summertaste. The aftertaste is sweet with sour.
