Pours an Enormous, and very tanned, dark beige, frothy and creamy head (with incredible duration too); darkest brown to black impenetrable colour. Smells yeast, woody, dried fruits, toasted, some tobacco and basement notes; a really unique blend of aromas. Tastes roasted malts, nuts, cocoa, licorice, some pleasant alcohol hints; low to medium sweetness, medium bitterness, with some hops and coffee notes in the finish; umami. Llively carbonation, medium + body, fizzy and caressing on the tongue; extremly balanced, smooth and clean in the palate, delicate on the coffee. A great and classic De Dolle brew, it is in fact quite a real mix between an imp stout and a strong belgian, with an unusual "sparkling" character and with some very nice particular notes

Chocolate and rasin aroma. Pff white foamy head. Pretty sour yeast flavour. Prumes, dadels, ristretto. Not enough coffee and chocolade for me, not Thatcher good for a stout

Grazie pazzoidi!!!

Bottle from Malting Pot. Pours dark with huge brown creamy head. Minimal lacing, low carbonation. Aroma coffee, chocolate, roast malts. Medium to full body, somewhat harsh texture. Taste milk coffee, chocolate truffles, cinnamon, first sweet, later turning into malty tartness. Nicely complex. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours dark brown not quite opaque with a huge dense head and some legs. Aroma is fresh dark rustic bread with toasted crust. Flavor is roast. a tad lactic, cocoa, licorice, fairly mild sweetness and bitterness. Alcohol is totally hidden Feel is very full and lively but ends watery. Really nice and balanced. Not especially complex.
