De Dolle Lichtervelds Blond

Bottle from Dranken Geers. Hazy gold with healthy white head. Aroma is fruit, spices, yeast. And bloody lovely. Flavour is spice, malt, little sweet fruit, vanilla, hops. Finish is dry, balanced and slightly bitter. I flipping loved this stuff. Very me.

Bottle 33cl.
Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruit - apricots, moderate yeasty, light earth - damp stained. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, and a dry dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090226]

Bottle at De Dolle Brouwers, poured by Kris’ mom. Hazy golden color with a huge white head. Aroma of yeast, pale malt, citrus, and spice. Flavor more of the same, very tasty, with light fruits, yeast, and some hop bitterness. Palate lively with fairly high carbonation and medium body.

33 cL bottle at Chez Moeder Lambic. Pours cloudy dark golden orange with a huge off-white head. Aroma is spiced, yeasty and distinct citrusy. Classic de dolle hight carbonation mouthfeel. Smooth caramelish and yeasty fruity flavoured. Followed by smooth estery and spiced flavoured notes before a mellow yeasty and subdued citrusy flavour makes the finish.

Bottle. Pours cloudy golden with a big frothy white head. Super fizzy and lively body. Aromas of oranges, fruity hops, sweet malt and yeast. Fruity flavour with notes of pale malt, floral hops and spices.

Pours copper with a big white head. Smells grassy, dry, perfumy. Tastes fruity and perfumy with a funky spicy finish.

Bottle @ Moeder Lambic. Pours copper with fluffy off-white head. Aroma of grass, hops and some alcohol. Taste is tripel-type fruity and like the Oeral I had earlier, was extremely carbonated. Yeast flavors dominate this one. Finish is yeasty and bitter. Some alcohol in the taste as well. Another potentially good beer ruined by excessive carbonation.

The peculiar huge white DeDolle head over a hazy golden beer. Aroma is very subtle of yellow fruits and honey, a bit yeasty. No traces of 9%. Very balanced, fruity, perhaps too balanced...
