Decent blond ale. The appearance is a typical deep honey tripel color, which is pleasant. The nose is distinctly citrus and fresh. The taste follows through with an orange and grapefruit citrus tone with yeast, as well as a bitter dry hoppy finish that lingers. The palate is nice for 9%, but not as creamy and smooth as the best. Overall a refreshing strong ale, pribably best in summer and if you really like hoppy bitterness.

Very nice blonde beer. Medium bitterness, with a citrus touch that reminds me more of oranges and less of lemons. It’s very smooth to drink, although it has an alcoholpercentage of 9%.

Levendig lichtbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig en sterk, licht zoet, citrus. Erg goed bier, smaak blijft lang hangen

Pors hazy dark yellow with a big white head. Aroma is moderate yeasty and malty, citrus. Quite carbonated, same as De Dolle Dulle Teve, moderate sweet and bitter, citrus and the characteristic yeast touch.

Pours a hazy amber body with a giant head. Faint yeasty aroma with Done malty tones. Rich creamy taste with a little bitterness in the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured light amber with a frothy off white head. Aroma of zesty Belgian yeast and sweet fruit. Medium body, flavour is mildly spiced, medium sweet and light bitter. Dry, bitter-sweet finish. Expected better.

Bottle from Geers, tick central Belgium, bottled June 2014. Gold pour with very light haze and creamy white head. Aroma is yeasty, fruity De Dolle signature, lots of tropical fruit, quite hoppy as well. Taste is yeasty, a bit boozy, good dose of pineapple with a lightly bitter finish. Pretty typical strong Belgian blond, I expect a bit more from this brewery.

Blonde beer launched for the Folkorefeesten of Lichtervelde in 1990 and kept in production, though the original version was a much lighter session beer of 6% ABV. Very thick and rocky, firm, off-white head over an orangey golden blonde beer, clear but cloudy after adding the deposit. Powerful fruity aroma of melon, pear, orange, peach, grass, white pepper, cognac, rhum, dough, honey and liquorice. Fresh fruity onset, malt sweetness, bit bready and caramelly, pretty strong carbo, orange peel, floral hop bitterness in the finish with warming and somewhat astringent alcohol. Typical Dolle beer, but not their most creative find.
