A light amber pour with a white head. Very spice forward aroma on this. A good bread note, some yeast, and plenty of malt sweetness. A bit of pear and apple fruits and some banana. Tastes strongly of sweet pale malt and sugar. Plenty of banana and clove spiciness, a bit of alcohol, and a mild bitterness. Quite fruity as it warms up, too.

Bottle from Geers, tick central Belgium, bottled June 2014. Gold pour with very light haze and creamy white head. Aroma is yeasty, fruity De Dolle signature, lots of tropical fruit, quite hoppy as well. Taste is yeasty, a bit boozy, good dose of pineapple with a lightly bitter finish. Pretty typical strong Belgian blond, I expect a bit more from this brewery.

Blonde beer launched for the Folkorefeesten of Lichtervelde in 1990 and kept in production, though the original version was a much lighter session beer of 6% ABV. Very thick and rocky, firm, off-white head over an orangey golden blonde beer, clear but cloudy after adding the deposit. Powerful fruity aroma of melon, pear, orange, peach, grass, white pepper, cognac, rhum, dough, honey and liquorice. Fresh fruity onset, malt sweetness, bit bready and caramelly, pretty strong carbo, orange peel, floral hop bitterness in the finish with warming and somewhat astringent alcohol. Typical Dolle beer, but not their most creative find.

Bottle at the Bottle. Like a lighter arabier, yeasty, light fruitiness, very easy drinking for the %.

Bottle at Kulminator. Almost clear deep golden liquid with a medium white head. Aroma of floral hops, bread, earth, cachaca and raw sugar. Taste is dry and light bitter with notes of flowers, bread and earth. Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Great.

Pours copper with no head. Aroma is of peaches, strong spruce, a lot of butterscotch. Taste is butterscotch, a small but prominent hint of tartness, peach, some oaky touches, and a lot of belgian yeast esters. The yeast sediment was pretty huge and not that pleasent on this one, I poured it in another glass and it was a completley different beer. It’s quite uncarbonated.

Bottle. Hazy deep golden color with a thick long lasting foamy off-white head. Lots of big yeast sediments. Earthy aroma with oak and malt. Slightly sour taste with medium bitter finish.

Bottle from Beer Mania. Loads of fruit-aromas, peach, orange, apricot and citrus with a bittersweet taste and a hint of syrup.

Golden, off-white head. very aromatic nose, fruits, butter scotch. But has an aggressive touch in the nose. Taste butter, yeast, a lot of carbonation. sparkling, full, even slighlty sourish. bitter finsih. very atypical nose, Good, nice but special brew, good for having one, not for drinking.
