3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Dedollewaitor (9254) - Odense, DENMARK - APR 5, 2006
UPDATED: FEB 21, 2007 Hazy yellow orange. Looks a bit like arabier and has just as much , if not more, carbonation and white head. Very yeasty like de dolles other beers. Fruits and spices and very abstract and different from the average Belgium beer. !
Great, but doesnt really has its own style like ex. arabier, oerbier and stille nacht!

De Kavijaks edition. 7% abv. Sweet and fruity aroma, with the usual funky De Dolle yeast. Golden to copper colored body with a medium sized white head. Sweet and fruity flavor, quite hoppy flavor, ends on a quite dry note.

Trying to pour this into my Kwak glass was about as good idea as drinking warm milk on a hot day. The second this was uncapped there was an eruption that continued like Mount Vesuvius. The Romans may not have been harmed, but the table top was. The Kwak glass quickly filled with foam. I grabbed a Duvel glass and let the eruption continue there. There was still about 1/3 a beer left in the bottle by this point. Then I poured 100% head into my Duvel glass and played chemist as I used my Kwak glass and poured the foam there into my new one. In the time it took to write that, the beer is almost ready to be tasted. Spicy citrus aroma with notes of yeast and other light fruits. A hint of basement dust perhaps, in a good way. Flavor matches the aroma, very dry finish. Reminds me a bit of Duvel and Orval, but can’t be compared to either all that much.

Bottle, at GBBF, August 2005. Vivid, bright yellow colour. Very flowery aroma. Dry and a bit medicinal, with some mild yeast flavour and a fair dollop of bitterness. Solid, but uninspired. Not one of De Dolle’s more inspired efforts in my view.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 argo0 (9034) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 27, 2005
(33cl bottle, stamped Okt 05) Pours an enormous off-white head, leaving a cloudy apple juice body. Aroma is medium sweet, honey, herbal, some lemon peel, light yeast. Taste is medium sweet, herbal, honey, some yeast, light lemon, coriander. Light medium body with some effervescence and light duskiness, fairly dry finish. I wonder if they will get their act together and sell this in the U.S. -- I sure hope so!
