33cL bottle, courtesy of Dickinsonbeer. Thanks, Paul! Pours a very murky, very milky whitish-brown color; off-white head with solid medium-bubbled lacing. Lots of complex yeastiness, sweet malts, and a soft, toasty maltiness; very soft nose. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy, toasted maltiness, complex De Dolle yeastiness, and soft vanilla-tinged / bready malts; a bit muddled, lightly carbonated, and very bready. Medium finish: breadiness, toasty malts, and intricate yeastiness; again, a bit messy overall.

[1182-20080303] 330mL. Aroma has a little sourness, a little soap, and a lot of heavy yeast. Cloudy, light orange brown body with a big long-lasting foamy off-white head. Tangy sourness is brought out in the flavour with some grapefruit and a nice finish. Medium body is dry and complex and interesting. Quite nice.

Comes to the table hazy enough that you cannot see through it. Has a strong head that fades into a sticky lacing. Aroma is very original, like an apple horseradish (without the bite) mix with a spicy yeast leftover. Taste is more straight forward with a slight sweetness and a pilsner-like malt background.
Draft @ Erasmus served in a wine glass on 5/20/08.

UPDATED: JUN 24, 2008 Multiple bottles. Very lightly hazed golden straw colored body with a large white head. Spicy floral yeast nose in a purely farmhouse saison character: dusty, earthy, minerally, with an amazing softness and delicateness, while still remaining spicy and effervescent. Rich but not thick, with some banana and clove developing as the yeast becomes mixed later in the glass… that amazing De Dolle yeast, so minerally, earthy, and dusty, with a light wheat sweetness. Finish even shows some green hops, and again the dryness and yeast character round out a nearly perfect beer from De Dolle.

(Rating #1650)

I have an other gift from the brewers...An Oeral, best before 2005... I was forced to drink it by myself and my curiosity...So the beer has a cloudy orange body with a huge foamy head, and some freaky sediment....And the aroma: it was citrus and sour orange, strong perfume. The flavour contains sour orange, pepper, apple and some fizzy body, characteristic hop, a little tannin. Nice, sourish, hopful aftertaste. Stronge one, good one after this years in the bottle...
