4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 mds (2119) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 10, 2006
Bottle. Hazy white-yellow with a large creamy white head. Nice spicy aroma - cereal, dusty, pepper, and sour fruits. Calm palate that is reasonably dry. Triple-esque in flavour with expected cereal and lactic fruity notes. On the other hand though it’s not too sweet which I quite enjoyed.

Golden/orange colour, with a wonderful, creamy head. The aroma is fruity with strong traces of pineapple and peach. The flavour is fruity too (peach, apple, apricot), malty with a touch of sourness. Very good hoppy finish, quite spicy. Good complexity, well balanced...very nice!

UPDATED: APR 18, 2005 2002 Museumbier... Poured a cloudy, opaque gold color with a large white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Funky barnyard, citrus, cloves, and yeast in the aroma. Sweet honey, vanilla, bitter citrus, lightly spicy, no alcohol.
2003 Oeral... Fresher sample, lower score. Drier than the Museumbier, more carbonation as well. I enjoyed the older better, though even fresh, its still a nice beer.

An absolute joy. A hammer of hops, and a spicy body which seems to imply a high alcohol gravity than it has. An ale version of Christoffel Blond. My favourite Dolle beer.

This has some real secondary fermentation! The foam rises in the neck as I open the cap, and brings with it some lovely spicy aromas.
Apple and other soft fruit, cinnamon, sweet malt and just the right amount of bitterness. Long, lovely finish with lambic overtones. This is climbing steadily towards my top ten of breweries!Great stuff!

Bottle. 2003. Hazy yellow / orange color with a huge frothy good lacing fully lasting white head. Aroma is fruity, lemon, acidic. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light acidic and bitter with a average duration and a very good balance. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Very nice ;o))

Dark cloudy orange. Citrusy, slightly tart nose, light yeast. Big malty body with some minty hop impressions. A thick yeastiness just before the end with a lightly tart finish. Big flavors, working together in harmony.
