Mar 15, 2009 07 vintage. Pours a dark brown with a thick off white head. Sour cherry vinegar oak barrel aroma. Taste is tart and sour with hints of lemon and cherry, very effervescent. Very light and tangy for such a dark beer, with some nice wood barrel hints. Very sneaky abv, well hidden. Outstanding brew.

Mar 14, 2009 2004 edition. Pours copper with some fizzy hints. Smells perfumy with some nice funky undertones. Tastes dry and perfumy with lots of crisp pilsner hints dominating an oaky finish.

Mar 13, 2009 My 3rd bottle curtasy of durk Kulminator vintage 2000. Beautfiul dark colour with a tan head. Awesome woody tart cherry dark & old wineous ripe fruit with some sour begian goodness. Flavour balanced aged dark fruit character oak cask, very rich chianti lingering alcohol and pleasant sourness. rich, smooth, lightly carbonated, smells tastes and reminds me of the kulminator.never fails

Mar 13, 2009 330ml bottle, vintage 2006, dark mahogany color, with a tan-colored head, leaving laces, toasty, wood tannic, wet winey, oaky, tart cherryish nose, with a funky, yeasty, musty, barnyard, accent with cherry, mineral, balsamic vinegar note, and a hint of dark chocolate in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, funky, woody, oaky, tart, winey tannic, oxidized cherry character with some dusty, barnyard, leathery accents, with a hint of sour mustiness, leading towards a winey, oaky, fruity, cherryish tart finish.

Mar 13, 2009 2006 bottle...cant remember who sent it my way. Pours a brown color wtih a nice fizzy off white head. Aroma is full of cherries, funk, earthy notes, and some oaky vinegar notes. Flavor is dry, a bit sour and full of tart cherries and some red wine characteristics. For a beer that is a bit sour and dry I actually enjoyed it. See Sunshine there are some I can tolerate...

Feb 27, 2009 dark brown pour with a full beige head. Aroma is a tart cherry/wild raspberry, mixed in with some wood, and funk. Man i love the funk. The flavor is tart, and finishes slightly bitter. More of the tart fruit with some mild malt notes. This is a really nice beer, not what i was expecting. Its like a lambic/saison/belgian strong hybrid.
