Sour cherry vinegar oak barrel aroma. Taste is tart and sour with hints of lemon and cherry, very effervescent. Very light and tangy for such a dark beer, with some nice wood barrel hints. Very sneaky abv, well hidden. Outstanding brew. Cletus (5062), Connecticut, USA

| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Feb 27, 2009 dark brown pour with a full beige head. Aroma is a tart cherry/wild raspberry, mixed in with some wood, and funk. Man i love the funk. The flavor is tart, and finishes slightly bitter. More of the tart fruit with some mild malt notes. This is a really nice beer, not what i was expecting. Its like a lambic/saison/belgian strong hybrid.
