11.2 oz bottle to snifter (2008 vintage; shared by mikem409). Looks good; a cloudy brown with beige lacing. Smells malty and tart with a bit of oak and red wine; like a dark Flanders. Tastes like it smells with a good mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 heavy (1989) - Split, CROATIA - MAY 27, 2013
16/04 A 0.33 l bottle, courtesy of Marko, thanks for sharing! 2010 vintage, at 13% ABV. It poured a hazy brown body with medium sized head. Very nice, slightly sourish, complex aroma. Generally malty, fruity with notes of roasted malt as chicory and burnt sugar, as well as very evident barrel aging. Flavor was sourish as well, quite fruity, but less complex, only with plain notes of wood. Medium body, smooth on palate with alcohol extremely well hidden. Long, slighty sour and sweet finish. Very nice, although nothing near 4s, so these high ratings really surprised me.

2010 version, bought from Mikkeller and Friends. Slightly chilled. Dark brown colour, little head. Smells strongly of cherry. Despite the smell, there isn’t as much cherry taste as in the normal Oerbier. Sour fruit punch, clove and spice. OK.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 Marko (3635) - Split, CROATIA - APR 18, 2013
2010 edition, got in a trade with 77ships (thanks Eugene!). Poured a dark amber/brown/red body with a small off white head. The nose strikes you immediately, very vinuous, the barrel aging couldn’t be more evident... quite funky too with notes of... saliva. Hmm. But somehow not in a bad way. Creamy mouthfeel, rosehip and plastic maltiness, with some light bitterness in the background, very weak floweriness. This is extremely well balanced. Superbly drinkable for 13% and yeah, a pretty great beer.
