Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich white/red wine, vinegar, brett, wood, malt, fruits and hops. Nice.

Très vineux et fruité au premier contact, arôme excessivement complexe. Les sucres dominent, vanille, caramel, fruits confis, vraiment intéressant. Le genre de bouteille qui gagne à dormir dans le cellier!

Pours a clear copper with a nice white head that leaves great lacing. First whiff is of green apples although this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. There is also some white candi sugar in there, too. Taste is not really sweet, a lot less than the original at least, there is a light tartness than prevents it from ever being cloying! Woody, winey, complex. Low carbonation, sticky/syrupy mouthfeel. This was really fun to drink and even more to compare it with the regular edition. Both are really excellent but extremely different.

pours hazy dark golden, almost copper, with a small and persistent off-white head, showing some lacing spots. intense red and green apples - cider-like and clearly off, sweet and spicy caramel, oak, red wineyness, other fruits, spices, tobacco, hint of garbage, grass, pepper. moderate carbonation, light acidity, grassy-herbal-spicy finish. over-barreling and off but it’s somehow still enjoyable..

Fantastisk aroma, godis sötma. Nästan lite körsbär. Smaken inte lika upphetsande men still. Fortfarande rätt söt, lite smak av ABV.

Bottle (750 ml). From pandableh or Alefish who both sent me bottle(s), thanks! Clear golden/amber with a small white head with a small white head and some lacing. Aroma is really winey with green apple (not off though), oak/wood, buttery notes, sweetness and alcohol. Taste is also of wine, moderate sweetness, green apple, wood, light vanilla, fruits and boozy notes. Medium body (lighter than expected). Moderate carbonation. Winey mouthfeel. Super complex. Balance is good, but I think it will become great with a little more age on it. Unique. I’m glad I still have another bottle of this.

Big thanks for beerman6686 Dan for sharing this one. Had this at the RB Pgh Halloween Spook-tacular Tasting/Drunkfest fall 2013, nice time at Hornydevil’s place, thanks James & Michelle! From a champagne bottle this stuff is clear light brownish with a tad of yellow. Soome mild hop aroma in there too. The first taste is a big strong blast with hints of tartness. Almost like tart wine, interesting. Warming. Must be pretty high in alky. Yes warming all the way down. Perhaps a brandy effect going on here. Finish is quite alky. Mouth coating and just a little too much for this lager lover. Did I say this was strong? After a while, this wine like brandy thing that is a little tart starts to grow on you.

Bottle. Clear amber gold pour with thin bubbly white head. Rich brandy aroma, tart red fruits, cherries, very winey overall, with strong woody, boozy notes and a hint of mulled wine. Flavor is sweet but also quite tart, like red wine, fruity with a warming boozy finish. Body is light and balanced, quite dry actually, light carbonation, very brandy-like. Absolutely delicious, very original.

This one poured a somewhat murky light brown with a small beige head. Aroma of wine, dark fruit, light chocolate, some Belgian spice too. Flavor was similar, big Belgian strong notes, dates, toast, wine, booze, yeast. Interesting for sure.
