omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 24, 2003 Bottled (at the Rate Beer gathering at Flying Saucer, Addison). Amber coloured and very cloudy with rich head. Banana aroma. Big on caramel and hugely malty Fruity honeyish finish with a surprising dash of bitter hops. Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 20, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Again this muddy, pale brown (melted milk chocolate) appearance. Another extremely potent beer from De Drie Kruizen - apparently licensed off to Deca? Rather flat, some roasted, malty notes with hints of dried fruits. An initial sweetness is overpowered by a pronounced, harsh bitterness twisting this out of balance. 130198 MiP (4927), Flensburg, Germany Dec 16, 2004 2001 bottle. Cellared, sherry-like aroma. Cloudy orange/brown colour. Small head. Sherry flavour with slight orange peel note. Bready øllebrød flavour. Thick mouthfeel, slightly slimy. JorisPPattyn (4262), Antwerpen, Belgium Dec 12, 2004 Amber to dark red; no head to speak of. Bready nose, malty, caramel and toasted. Nutty taste, chestnut or chestnut flour, sweet, vanilla. Very oily, buttery MF, flat, no carbonation. This is quite better than expected. Beer could do with some more publicity. Try it, if you can find it. jbrus (4095), Delft, Netherlands Oct 2, 2001 Updated: May 25, 2003Orange aroma. Dark amber color, off-white head, good lace. Sweet, orange, raisin, bitter, warming. The finish has more bitterness and a alcohol burn.
