Bottle. Pours cloudy peach with very small head. Aroma is SweeTarts, moderate funk, nectarine, slight raspberry, apricot jam, grains, red grape skins, faint grape. Taste is musky peach, muscat grape, lemon juice, mulberry, big lactic and citric presence but not overly sour. Finish is blackberries and oak. Very nice.

750 ml bottle via trade. Pours a clear gold color with a small off-white head. Notes of vanilla, grapes, oak, lemon, yogurt, leather, herbs and spices, and lime. Light-bodied, with a tart but smooth mouthfeel and low to moderate carbonation. More rounded than sharp. Picks up some vinous notes that don’t overpower. Nice collaboration here.

750ml bottle, thanks to phaleslu for sharing. Thin off-white ring of head. Hazy orange peach color. Super nice oaky, mild lemony, mild spicy, some begian yeastiness, and mild vinous tannic aromas. Love it. Probably my favorite aroma of this tasting so far. Medium-plus body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Mildly slick, good dry aspect to the taste, too. Moderate-plus sour taste, light to moderate sweet, mild spiciness. Really dig it. Great sour farmhouse.

Orange with a good pale head. Aroma is brett funk, citrus peel, green olive, peppercorn. Light-medium bodied, well balanced palate with a nice tartness and a slightly dry finish. Taste is orange peel, brett funk, lemon peel, green peppercorns, Pinot noir. Fantastic.

Bottle shared thanks to JBPortland ! Pours a hazy golden straw color with a finger of white fizz. Nose is murky barnyard funk, floral fieldgrass and some hints of vinous fruit. Palate follows the nose with interesting layers of guava, toasted grain, berry skins, mushroom, wet oak, tart earthy cherry. Nice lingering foggy grain.

750ml bottle pours hazy dark orange with medium head. Nose is barny funk, round vinous grape, wet wood, and fruits with shadows of the classic De Garde horse stable funk. There is a faint hint of band-aid/plastic but very little. Taste is crisp, balanced acidity, some subtle band-aid notes but they stay out of the way for the most part, old wet wood, soft red wine, some field hay, grape and dark berry. Finish is funk, funk, and more funk, some nice interwoven wine notes and oaky character. I prefer the Chardonnay barreled version but this is solid.

Bottle... Pours cloudy and golden with a small, fleeting, white head. The aroma shares herbal notes, apricot fruitiness, yeast-driven spiciness, woody horseblanket funk and dry, vinous acidity. Medium-bodied with jazzy carbonation. The flavor is tart, fruity and bright - lemon and stone-fruits abound. Tart, tangy finale. Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler!

Hazy orange-honey body with fizzy, large white head, drops to ring. Rubbery plastic and unripe berries in the nose, tons of way-too-young green aspects, hot alcohol and acids. Fruity red-berry, high acid front palate, mid burns, plastic and vegetal, bright but muddled, shit-ton of rind. More a collection of elements than one final product, slick and coating with no heft, and carbonation an afterthought. Another disappointment in the Desay lineup, hopefully De Garde delivers elsewhere.

>> Pours a full haze strawberry blonde with medium white foam and speckled lacing. Nose is rich strawberry, yellow rose, saltwater, chlorine, strawberry tart, white strawberry, underripe melon. Taste is bubbly and highly acidic up front. Tons of lemon and lime, low salt, flashes of chlorine and chemical. Feels like a green, unfinished beer. A bit disappointing.

>!< chemical, chlorine, green, underripe flavors

Thank you, Brian. A shade darker than I remember the Chardonnay Desay being, this beer is copper colored with a definite pinkish hue, especially on the head. Retention and lacing are decent. The nose is plenty funky. Earth, manure, wet hay, barnyard, dry hay, this just smells like Tillamook A mild fruitiness with berries, preserved lemon along with a noticeable oak character (closer to a light-medium toast American oak?). Not particularly saison-esque, the phenols and spices are long gone. A touch of sulfur is present as well. The palate opens with a big, bright sourness, lactic, lemony and with a mild oak astringency. This does mask some of the funk complexity that I was able to discern on the nose, leaving this seem a little simpler than its Chardonnay barrel aged brother. Lemons, cloves, a fruitiness that’s reminiscent of not-yet-ripe raspberries and guavas, Drying and tannic on the finish with lingering tannins, a clean but brash raw oak flavor (minimal vanilla, though), this beer is light in body, moderately carbonated and quite enjoyable on the palate. The lingering lactic and lemon peel character is quite enjoyable as well. Very nice stuff.
