Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a hazy light purple with small white head. The aroma is strong oak and blueberry. Thin mouth, sour blueberry, light acidity, good.

Pours blood purple, very much like a lighter pinot. Quick dissipating bubbles are pink, brilliant clarity. Smells of must, blueberry, oak; the nose is a little distant compared to other bu’s - but still robust on the broad spectrum of beer. Flavor is tart, some cherry character, some blueberry, tannins. Finish is salivating and earthy. Thin with moderate on high carb. Nice beer. Prefer the imperial version.

Big bottle in a teku. Pours hazy purple/blue with an off-white head. Aroma of blueberries, sourness/tartness, some pale malts, light oak, and some more blueberry. Flavor the same with a great fruitiness and sourness. Average texture. A really good beer.

hopscotch (9953) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 9, 2015
Bottle... Pours cloudy and fuchsia with a small, pink head. The aroma furnishes big-time notes of earthy, damp oak and berry fruitiness accompanied by a small touch of vanilla. Medium-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and lazy carbonation. The flavor is fruity and quite sour, flanked by a lengthy tart finish. Mildly complex, tasty Florida Weisse. Good stuff. Bottle courtesy of landhoney!

750ml bottle, had thsi in a blind taste test with 9 other fruits, guessed 6 out of 9, missed the marion, boysen, and cherry raz for obvious reasons in perception of these rare fruits. Got this one easily, murky pink color, very noticeable blueberry.

Milky pinkish/reddish pour with a white head. Slight autolysis and sour fruit aromas. Sour blueberry highlights. Tart but with not much complexity. Average body and mouthfeel.

Blu bu A - muddled purple with 1 finger pink head gone in a flash. S - mmm that de garde cheesy/yougurty funk! Sharp acetic(with slight acetone) notes, lemon juice and berries just mashed in with those amazing tillemook coastal bugs. So much berry on the nose. Damn! M - very sharp acetic at first. Mellows as it sits around. Tart on the front, nice sweet malty middle. Tart mouth watering end. Medium body with a watery mf. Nice palate. The sharpness is balanced well with the sweetness. T - nose. O - damn! Trevor has a winning formula. Imperial boysenberry was better but this is damn close. 4.3

[ Bottle ][ ½ of 75cl ][ Tasting ][ Trade ][ Snifter ][ 9.26.14 ]
Shimmering ruby, hazy white large bubbled ring, dissipates quick. Light chemical playdoh DG nose, moderate manure, faintly dusty, sour fruit is deep with warmth. Arsenic heavy nose, as much cherry as blueberry, high acid mid palate sticks to tongue, slick and burning along the jowls, massively sour with light salt and chemical in the finish. Fizzy body accents how sour it is, huge acid overload.
