COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our version of a Berliner Weisse, but fermented with ambient yeast and bacteria. Tart with citrus and fruit notes, a subtle grain character, and a hint of funk.

Pours clear Golden yellow with frothy Whitehead that quickly dissipates. Aroma is clean lactic tartness. I personally do not pick up the fruitiness or funk. Taste is clean electric sour with mild citrus notes. Tastes as if it was fermented only with lacto. Moderate tartness, not overdone. Overall good Berliner, but a bit too simple. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a clear gold with no head. The aroma is lemon and wheat. Thin mouth, dough, citrus, clean, very crushable.

Looked weirdly still coming out of the bottle, and no head, extra weird for something with wheat in it. A nice tang to the nose and a delicious, refreshing flavor of light bread and lemony acid. Itís a touch thin for me. Itís a good beer but I know people who do it better.

Straightforward but tasty berliner with the appropriate graininess. I like this more than probably half the fruited Bus Iíve tried.

Pours unclear blonde . Smell is lemon funk and sourness . Taste is dry , sharp , oak , bit sourness . Some lemon . Light honey aspects . An intense one - given the style - . Ok

Thanks to Felipe for hauling this bottle back from Oregon. Pours hazy golden, small white head that dissipates quickly leaving some lacing. Aroma is dirty lemons, wheat, and for some reason watermelon. Flavor is medium tart, lightly funky, minerals, wheat and lemon. Medium body, low carbonation. Super clean and drinkable, but nothing amazing.

Bomber. My 1st De Garde. These guys have been so talked up I was expecting a bit more honestly. That said this was a really nice and light take on the Berliner. Bits of hay and barnyard funk blasted with hints of wheat and grains. Not as sour as I may have thought, tiny bit thin and watery. Flavors all there, just needs a little oomph, but still damn tasty.
