COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our version of a Berliner Weisse, but fermented with ambient yeast and bacteria. Tart with citrus and fruit notes, a subtle grain character, and a hint of funk.

(Bottle) Very sour apple-y aroma. Tastes very tart and kind of like spoiled plain yogurt. Not my thing.

Bomber from Belmont Station. Love that this is so inexpensive. One of the many things I appreciate about de garde. Anyway, pours slightly hazy gold with just a few bubbles for head that dissipate immediately. Aroma of lemon, dough, grain, yogurt, tang. Taste is predominantly a very pleasant, approachable fruity sourness. Really quite quaffable. Very light cereal graininess to finish. Palate: light body, soft carbonation, slick texture. Overall: 2.1%. Quaffable. Sour. Under $5/bomber. Available by the case at the local bottle shop. If I lived in Portland, I would most assuredly drink the shit out of this.

Draft at tin bucket. Light clear yellow with thin head. Tart lemon, slight tropical fruitiness, some yogurt and under ripe peach. Quite tart and refreshing. Lacto, lemon, hints of stone fruit and tropical fruit.

22 Oz bottle pour split. Pours a light cloudy golden color with no head. Sour funk aroma with some light citrus. Nice sour flavor as well with some lemon, light apple, slight wild yeast finish. So delicious, and full of flavor for such a light beer. Loved this.

From a bottle. Virtually no head. Lactic acidity/lemon, grain. Pretty typical, good example of the style, however the carbo is way too low as with petit desay. Despite good flavor, these bottles will be an unfortunate introduction to a typically stellar brewery. It’s really too bad they released beer in this condition for their first widely available bottled offering.

Bottle. Light yellow pour with no real head. Tart fruit, esters of wheat aromas. Flavors not as smooth or tart as the fruit variations.

22 oz bottle from Lifesource Natural Grocers in Salem OR. $4.99 Slightly cloudy pale golden coloured beer with a very fine small bubbled white head..that goes fast to a slight ring around the glass. Nice slightly sour/vinegar aroma peaches, nectarines and maybe slight cherry aromas..very intriguing. Taste..mouth puckering but nice..like a classic wine vinegar mixed with fruit. As expected very dry mouth feel..but good. I liked it but needs some of the traditional syrups.

Bottle - Lychee and peach. Cloudy light yellow gold with no head. Sweet fruit, lychee and nice tartness that lingers. Nice and fruity, but odd for a straight Berliner.
