From a 750 ml bottle. Light garnet colored body with a medium tan colored head. Toffee and some plums come out in the initial nose. There is a nice brown sugar hint in here hiding behind the other lightly fruity smells. Bits of toffee mix with some coffee for the first taste. As one drinks more, you start to get iced tea and a waxy feeling finish.

bottle, september 08. Clear, rubby copper color witha medium, creamy cremé head. Aroma is fruity with a caramel and banana touch. Some spice, quite restrained. Flavor is ripe fruit, bananas and a slight coffee touch. Slightly phenollic with a short earthy aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium, some chewy malt and easy drinking but with a sudden watery finish. Ok, easy drinking dubbel that could do with a bit more personality.

750mL bottle, courtesy of nuplastikk. Thanks, Greg! Pours a murky orange-brown color; thin off-white head with patchy lacing. Smoke, brown sugar, and dried dark fruits in the aroma. Medium mouthfeel: chewy yeastiness, brown sugar, and dried dark fruits upfront; relaxed carbonation; basic, slightly bland dubbel. Medium finish: breadiness, brown sugar, and caramel; ends dry.
