Sigmund (2197), Hafrsfjord, Norway Jan 11, 2008 330 ml stubby bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. BB 0608. ABV is 6.5%. Refermented in the bottle. Copper coloured beer (clear first, cloudy when the yeast is poured in the end), large tan head with an orangey hue. Very nice aroma of spices, candi sugar, yeast and raisins. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is moderately spicy with some caramel and toffee, lacks hops. The finish is kind of "empty", relatively light bodied for its strength. Still a nice and drinkable dubbel, but could have been better. JensenTaster (1585), Denmark Jan 1, 2008 (on bottle) Light redish/brown, white head. A simpel aroma of blackcurrant and malts. High carbonation and a waterish body, with taste of more graisn; not that fancy. The finish is light, without any estertraces. There is a late-finish with some chocolate and dry fruit. daniele (1642), Italy Nov 3, 2007 scura con riflessi rossastri buona schiuma abbastanza persistente profumi fruttati lieviti fermentezione in bocca non armonica tagliante un po luppolata tostata decisamente non rotonda SHIG (2012), Aviano, Italy Oct 21, 2007 Bottle: Poured a dark red brown with a thin jello off white color head.
