| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 2, 2006 Brown with beautiful red shine; good carbonation to dense, creamy yellowish head, lacey. Again very much (sweet) chocolate, and, blood-like ironoxyde in the taste. The liquor - or a head stabiliser? A bit fizzy. Light bodied for a dubbel. No discernible aftertaste, even not warming up. harrisoni (6776), Ashford, Kent, England
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 13, 2006 33cl bottle. Reddish brown colour with thin beige head. Choc plum and herb aroma bit of raisin too. Bit of candy sugar in mouth with milk choc finish. Not too keen on the aroma, but the milk choc flavour in the mouth is lovely and so are the raisin flavours on the end. Not overly sweet. Good dubbel. skortila (2903), Bunnik, Netherlands
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 19, 2005 Aroma of roasted caramel maltiness mixed with some spice. Hazy, dark brown coloured with a lasting, thick brown head. Taste is sweet and bitter. Caramel malty, roasted. Some fruits (prunes/raisins) and definately spices in it. Bit like a combination between a dubbel and a stout. Nice. thebeertourist (2779), Oslo, Norway
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 18, 2005 Chestnut brown with a big, lacing head. Delicious aroma of caramel and some liquorice as well as spicy yeastiness. Raisiny aromas in the background. Full, raisiny sweetness with lots of caramel. The finish is dry with a lot of spicy yeastiness, balancing the malty sweetness very well. One of the best dubbels I have tasted in a long time. kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 10, 2005 Dark brown in colour, with a small beige tight head. Aroma is dominated by caramel toffee, with a touch of plum and raisin in the background. Sweet, yet not in any way cloying. Dry enough all the way through. Nice caramel and plum flavours, with a slight bitter finish. Medium bodied, tasty dubbel. Not overwhelming, but very balanced.
