750 ml. bottle. Pours a minimal head, over a clear, dark amber (SRM 12) body....nose is cereal, light brown sugar, slight biscuit.....taste is sweet to start, then light cereal, light molasses.....mouth feel is light, carbonation low. This is a very light in nose, taste and mouth feel Dubbel. It is very simple compared to the best. BJCP 5/2/12/4/6

330 ml bottle. Pours a brownish bronze color with a small white head. It has a spicy malty aroma with maybe a bit of a prune smell. This is a very complex tasting beer. It has a caramel taste with maybe a bit of raisin , cereal and a touch of toast. and a little bit of vegetables. This beer was pretty good but didn’t strike me as a spectacular beer.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted, caramelish and light yeasty. Flavour is roasted malty, light fruity note and with a sligh citric touch. Lingering toffee caramelish and towards breadish into the finish. Mild fruity note into the finish.

Bottle. Paler than expected with a crimson tinge like oxygenated blood, and a thin pinkish head retreating to the edges of the glass. Sweet yeasty aroma with notes of grenadine, liquorice, apple bubblegum and strawberry ice lollies. Yeasty with apple peel and lurking TCP notes, slight red berries and leather. Zero malt or lactic presence, palate slight and flimsy. So faint I can hardly taste it. Nothing like a dubbel in my book. Disappointing.

Not a very attractive yellowish brown with a white head. Faint sweet aroma that had a hint of caramel. Sweet, alcoholic taste with a little leathery malt and spiciness. Is there some apple too? Slight dryness.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy and brown malt. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of malt and sweet. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Cloudy brown pour with a 3/4 inch off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt and dark fruits with an unexpectedly heavy dose of hops. Flavor is much the same. Rich and pleasantly warm. Very nice.

Bottle, bought @ Willems, Grobbendonk.
[thanks, Skou, for bringing this back for me]
Pours muddy brown with a very impressive, creamy, yellow-beige head. Aroma is quite sweet, some rye-bread, honey, Belgian sugar and raisins. High carbonation, frothy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet and malty, but with a fine, balancing dryness. A touch of dark chocolate and plums balance it well. Still not a particularly impressive dubbel.

Hazy brown with a fizzy tan head. Sweet grain and alcohol aroma. Bread honey and toffee taste with an earthy finish.
