larsga (2481), Oslo, Norway Feb 6, 2008 Smallish offwhite head. Hazy amber body with fast carbonation. Fruity, yeasty wild berry aroma with yoghurty notes, somewhat artificial. Dry yoghurty wooden wild berry taste, again somewhat artificial. Mouthfeel a little watery. Aftertaste is much the same. Disappointing, and not really very enjoyable. (0.33l bottle at Cardinal.)
Beerdedone (1663), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 26, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a thin beigh head. Aroma of caramel, fruit, yeast, and some spices. Flavor is sweet malts, dark fruit, caramel, toffee and a hint of raisins with a low bitterness and a dry finish. hotstuff (3060), Indiana, USA Dec 3, 2008 Bottle with a best before end date of 6/2009.Small semi-fizzy tan head with poor retention, one ring of lacing, very little carbonation, hazy, and a reddish hue. The aroma was malt, caramel, sweet, and dark fruits. Ditto for the flavor. Tingly mouthfeel and medium in body. This beer has a nice balance, easy to drink, worthy of a try, and I would drink this one again. Surprised at the overall low ratings. heemer77 (3955), Savannah, Missouri, USA Oct 13, 2008 From a 750 ml bottle. Light garnet colored body with a medium tan colored head. Toffee and some plums come out in the initial nose. There is a nice brown sugar hint in here hiding behind the other lightly fruity smells. Bits of toffee mix with some coffee for the first taste. As one drinks more, you start to get iced tea and a waxy feeling finish. kp (6300), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Oct 12, 2008 Date: 10/10/2008
Fukito (603), Buenos Aires, Argentina Sep 21, 2008 bottle, september 08. Clear, rubby copper color witha medium, creamy cremé head. Aroma is fruity with a caramel and banana touch. Some spice, quite restrained. Flavor is ripe fruit, bananas and a slight coffee touch. Slightly phenollic with a short earthy aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium, some chewy malt and easy drinking but with a sudden watery finish. Ok, easy drinking dubbel that could do with a bit more personality.
