Cloudy dark yellow body with a disappearing white head. Quite mild and fresh pilsner-like aroma with a little citrus. Also a mild flavor with hints of hay, yeast and citrus. Drinkable but not very interesting.

33cl Bottle at Café de Spuyt. Hazy yellow colour, white head. Aroma of ripe fruits, light sour, bit of ginger. Flavour is sweet, fruity, spicy, ginger, cardamon, dry bitter hoppy finish. Medium bodied. Bit too sweet imo.

750ml bottle. This is REAL ginger ale. Best before 05/09. Pours a very intriguing gold with a nice big white head that leaves some nice lacing as it quickly dissipates, it is clear with yeast floaties. The smell is mainly of ginger root. It also has the typical yeast twang form a belgian pale ale. It is reminiscent of gruit and sahti with no sign of hops. The ginger isn’t as integral in the flavor. It tastes like a sweeter than normal Belgian blonde. It is sweet, almost cloying. Not as complex as I would have liked in the taste department. It is better than come other gruit ales but the exclusion of hops always seems you left there wanting more. The mouthfeel, though a bit cloying, is decent enough. It has decent drinkability. Overall it is a good spiced beer but like most it ends up being to sweet and un-complex. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 03-23-2010 01:17:44

Not quite getting beer - what are they going for? Perfumy lavender sweet nose - reminds me of being in a soap store. Pale hazy yelllow color and a foamy head. Lavender again in the flavor profile, some rosemary too. Watery and thin. Not enjoyable for me.

Bottle: Poured a murky yellow with white froathy color head. The aroma jumped out of the glass as I was pouring it, very spicy with ginger bread wheat smell. The tingle was pleasant to my tongue and the dry veggy like finish was pretty good too.

750ml bottle. Thick, murky golden-tan color with a nice off-white head. Lots of floaties. The aroma is light and refreshing, with some honey, coconut, and mango tones. The ginger is quite apparent, but the mouthfeel is creamy and yeasty enough to take it all in and balance it out. Mild grapefruit notes as well, but not in the overbearing Cascade way, more in a sugary mellow dessert way. Impressive in that it maintains a nice mouthfeel and dangerously sessionable taste, while fully displaying the Ginger flavor as well. Exceptional balance. A great beer, a ginger lover’s dream come true.

I was really disappointed by this one. Light lookthrough orange. Noe head. Sweet lemon and ginger nose. Woodruff too. Grass, ginger and lavender taste. Unbalanced and the lavender and ginger are not doing to well together.
