Bottle. Hazy orange/gold with an off-white head. Aromas are fruity, spicy and floral with ginger. Flavours are sweet and fruity with a sweet ginger beer soft drink character. Spicy with mellow lemon notes. Sweet caramel towards the finish. Pretty good.

FatPhil (5970) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 21, 2010
330ml bottle - aged 18 months
6 Gentle sweet malty aroma
4 Hazy orange, large tight head
7 Lovely mellow malty body, with a gentle bitter bite
4 Refreshing palate, crisp carbonation. Gently spiced ans with a sweet finish. Some hoppy bitterness too.
14 Lovely balance. Age seems to have mellowed the spices nicely. (Which might explain why things like SLH are better affter ageing - it’s not just the malts that improve.)

Large bottle, not sure if 650 or 750, but corked. Pours turbid dull golden with some off-greenish nasal mucusy color and 2-finger off-white head. Aroma is sweet florals, sticky peaches dipped in caro syrup, berries, ginger, and sesame oil. The taste is malty, with honey, fruit, ginger/sesame, and a fairly dense, velvety, fruity palate that loses some complexity late, but remains a very enjoyable brew.

750mL bottle. Poured brighter golden with a tight-bubbled cap of white head. The aroma picked up very heavy ginger paired with peppery yeast and some bready malts.. warmth introduced banana and cloves.. smelled intriguing, but like something I wouldn’t want a whole lot of........ oh crap, I have a 750. The flavor opened with tangy, peppery spices with ginger increasing in intensity through a few seconds after the finish.. pale malts and a little honey gave sweet support.. again there was some banana and clove laced throughout, as well as dirty, somewhat bitter earth. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated.. spices played well with the malts and yeast, and the flow was solid.. long impression on the finish. Came across as a rather simple Belgian pale ale with ginger.. well-executed, but not so sessionable.

Bottle at lowlander. Alround rating: Giner, woody, pine, yeasty, sweetish, the typical belgian fruity esters and relitivly balanced and quite drinkable.

Bottle kindly passed onto me from Vale Brewery 31-01-08 Bottle hazy golden pour, ginger is in evidence straight away, although this beer is also quite sweet, but then you notice that there is a nice spiciness to this and the yeast also pitches in but its unmistakeably a ginger beer albeit a slightly sweetish one, I liked this beer.

Bottle. I don’t really like ginger beers, but this one was OK, definite ginger flavour, mixed with some lemon rindy type flavours and some Belgian yeastyness, touch of alcohol in the finish, it was OK.
