The aroma has ginger, yeast, malt, and sugar. The appearance is hazy gold with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall I like it.

Dark yellow colored, little white head. Plenty of yeast pieces in glass. Ginger dominates in lemony aroma, some positive skunky spices and honey there also. Medium bodied. Flavor has also strong ginger with cardboard and lemon, yeast also there.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 altonbrownd (3419) - Brussels, BELGIUM - AUG 8, 2009
Bottle at De Spuyt. Golden yellow body with big white head. Ginger nose and taste are hard to miss and unusual (one of 3 on RateBeer) but really not my thing. Bitter finish. Warming due to high ABV.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ante (3375) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 25, 2007
Bottled. Hazy golden with a low creamy white head. Strong aroma of ginger and estery yeast; touches of lemon and dough. Banana, yeast and ginger which shines trough now and then. Well-balanced finish of yeast, spices and ginger with sweet undetones of oranges. One of the best ginger bbers I’ve sampled, only beaten by Dark Star Winter meltdown.

Pours a light golden amber color. Aromas of light pumpkin, clove, ginger, nutmeg. Holiday spice notes in the finish. Good fall season beer
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 hotstuff (3213) - Indiana, USA - JUL 12, 2008
Bottle with a best before date of 5/2009. Medium sized white head that mostly diminished, floaties, spotty lacing, very little carbonation, hazy, and a pale yellow hue. The aroma was sweet, fruity, spicy notes, some ginger, and yeast. Ditto for the flavor with a semi-dry finish. The mouthfeel was tingly and this is a medium bodied beer. Quaffable, easy to driink, but very light ginger aroma and flavor IMO. Just a so-so beer for me as it is not a bad beer per se, but it did not leave me wanting to seek this one out again.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 rauchbier (3135) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - SEP 24, 2003
Bottle conditioned. Gold colour, but unavoidably hazy. Thick sediment is churned up by the good level of condition, giving a yeast chunk lavalamp appearance. Herbal and floral in the nose with a delicate ginger note being the most obvious. In the mouth a grainy maltiness counteracts the sweet ginger. Finish is sweet and herbal with a tingle of gingery bitterness. Nice delicate ginger accented beer.
