ARMed (423), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 12, 2008 I was impressed with this brew. Slight ginger flavor with a strong finish. Moderate bitterness with a good palate. Very drinkable on a nice summer evening with rib eye steak!
Rune (1812), Tromsø, Norway Oct 11, 2008 330ml bottle picked up at BSF, GBBF in August 08 to be enjoyed back home in Tromsø. Pours a huge rocky, white head partly lasting on top of a clear, golden body. Cloudy last pour, though. Smell of late oranges and sweet figs. Sweet, dried fruits in flavour supported by pale malts and herbs. Beneath there are discreet hints of elderflowers and ginger. More ginger on the swallow. Medium to full bodied. Dry in the mouth (11.10.2008). harrisoni (5359), Ashford, Kent, England Sep 20, 2008 Bottle from Dranken Geers. Hazy gold, thin off white head. Very herby aroma. It’s a herby floral beer, with a decent backbone. But still it’s just not my typre of beer. Yes, the variety of Belgian beers is great. But some just don’t work. Just too herby and floral for me. Magic_dave6 (4012), London, Greater London, England Sep 19, 2008 Bottle at lowlander. Alround rating: Giner, woody, pine, yeasty, sweetish, the typical belgian fruity esters and relitivly balanced and quite drinkable. BoBoChamp (733), Gent, Belgium Jul 26, 2008 33cl, beer with ginger, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex, hazy, good head, good brew Grovlam (3204), Copenhagen, Denmark Jul 21, 2008 Bottle. Large fluffy white head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Color was pale golden like with some cloudiness. Aroma was an excellent balance of spice, ginger and sweet fruity notes with a mild underlying malty feel. Quite balanced and well brewed. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and mild dry texture with a hint of alcohol. Moderated sweet flavor with a hint of acidic and bitterness. Mild ginger sweet average duration finish.
