4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 ToolHead (241) - København, DENMARK - FEB 13, 2005
33 cl bottle. Served in St. Bernardus goblet. Hazy gold w/ big, creamy, stable head that sticks around until the end, and leaves good lacing. Most impressive.
The aroma is well-hopped, citrusy fresh, and well-balanced.
The flavor is perfectly balanced between citrus, hops, slight sweetness, solid malt backbone, and long, spicy, warming finish. The alcohol remains hidden. Mouthfeel is impressively full and soft. Eminently drinkable. A superb tripel; one of the very best I´ve tasted.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Bosskie (226) - NETHERLANDS - FEB 11, 2010
light red-brown transparent beer with a weak head. strawberry honey body in the smell, yes lots of sweet honey.
The taste is subtle sweet sour. Then its an unexpected subtle sweetness, on a body of warm grains and yeast with a very light hoppiness, almost leaning towards pure chocolate.
Nice tripel, subtly individual.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 LomYst (149) - Rotterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 28, 2011
wow... weird aroma on this on, chilli and other spices, kruidnagel, chilisaus (the sweet stuff), gardenspice or chickenstock... taste is darker, sweet with quite some kruidnagel... it’s a shame that these sensations die out after a sip or ten, but those ten are pretty fkn shocking... weird thing is, i don’t really know if i like it, it’s original (and pretty tough) but it’s weirdness is a bit unboozelike, a bit autumn dinnerlike...

Servida en The Drunk Monk (Mataró). Siempre he sido un gran amante de las tripel y este es un gran ejemplo de gran cerveza tripel. Con cuerpo, aroma, buen final de trago.
