Triple, the name (Hells Angel) says it all; it’s so tempting, a warning is in order here!

Bottle: Thanks Douberd: Served in a Chouffe glass: Label mentions 8%ABV: Medium sized, vast, creamy vanilla like colored beer. Almost clearyo light cloudy dark tellow to orange colored beer. Aromas of malts, soap, some flowers, some caramel, some grains and a hint of some sweet malt/barley malt tones Flavours of grains, malts, light spice/alcohol tone, some bitters, herbs, soke barley malts, some corn, some apricot, some pils malts, it’s ok, lightly out of tune, but it’s decent enough to keep drinking it. Aftertaste is a mix of bitters, herbs, malts, some grainy bitters and light sprinkle of clove. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium to lightly fuller bodied and a light creamy texture. Quite a nice beer for the style it is...

Bottle, thanks to John (jmgreenuk), split at Colin and the Vikings tasting, Nol, Goteborg, Sweden 22/03/14. Hazed orange amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is apple skin, spice, herbal notes, bitter fruit, sprucey wod, citrics. Taste comprises orchard fruit, spice, dark fruits, bitter orange, Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. So so, lacks any real depth, a touch wishy washy!

Bottle at the "Colin and the Vikings tasting, Goteborg", supplied by ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin white head. The aroma is big yeast, malt. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a yeasty dry earthy mineral palate. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation and a rich frothy mouthfeel.

Douberd (2464) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - DEC 6, 2013
500 ml swing top bottle, bought at the brewery. Poured into a tulip glass. ABV 8% Clear golden orange colour on the body, with a small white head sitting on top. Average retention, light lacing left on the glass and a big foam island on the centre after the head collapsed. Still, not convincing. Aroma mostly of malts, a bit sour too, some weird spices. Taste of malts, quite sweet. Alcohol is very notable. Very yeasty. Finishes with some spices. Medium thin body, average carbonation. Overall average and another overpriced bottle.

A hoppy, herbal and overall quite average tripel. The bottle is different, that’s something.
