Drinkable until eternity." English bottles: Exquisitely brewed by Browerij De Hemel - "Heaven" in Dutch - and gently accented with spices lovingly picked from the Garden of Eden. It is specially brewed to give pleasure for all Eternity. Keep it in your cellar as long as you can. It just gets better as time goes by.

Pours beautiful red color with no head. Aroma has smooth oaky notes, honey and ripe fruits. Reminds me of an aged Fullers Vintage Ale. Flavor of syrup, plums and bee wax. Nice warm alcohol burn on the palate.

33cl bottle, vintage 2009. Pours a hazy amber with a thin white head. Smells of prune juice, brown sugar, citrus. Tastes of a heavy sweetness, a medium bitterness, and an alcohol bite. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, syrupy/oily texture. Finishes with a warming alcohol, and some fruitiness.

Bottle courtesy of Benjii and Sevares. Golden amber, no head. Nice fruity rich nose, honey, slight christmas spice, slightly medicinal, earthy spiced hop notes also. Sweet fruity front, big malt flavours, honey, caramel, pretty hot finish but not in a bad way, actually hides the 12% pretty well. I like this.

In bottle from Beers of Europe, thanks @Sevarity! Pours a dark golden brown colour with no head. Aroma of treacle, oak, candy sugar and caramel. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Alcohol is present to finish but well masked given the abv.

Had this at T’Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 03.03.12 hazy dark amber in colour. This is thick and sweet, in fact a touch too syrupy for me. Heavy on the alcohol, really warming actually decently hoppy. This is good but not great. A6 A3 T7 P4 Ov13 3.3

2003 bottle. Poured crystal-clear, fiery reddish-orange with a short-lived beige head that settled to a looser-bubbled ring. The aroma picked up sweet, aged caramel, molasses, and fruity notes with not much hoppage and, more surprisingly, not much oxidation evident.. this seemed to hold up really well. The flavor didn’t quite age as gracefully.. some spicy, well-aged dark fruits and caramel at the core, but it really broke down around there.. some soapy notes, some raw alcohol, and more black peppery notes, especially toward the back.. very dry with some coriander and grains of paradise too.. tacky and warm on the finish. Heavier-bodied with low carbonation on the palate.. this stared out well, but went downhill from there.

Süß-saurer, recht trockener Malzbeginn. Fruchtig, rund, süß-malzig, harmonisch aber seht trocken werdend. Dann zitrusartig sauer. Im Abgang alkoholisch brennend. Nett! 7/11/8/11/12/11
