COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The heaviest one, rich of taste, colour and body, a nice balance in spite of the high alcohol content.

Backlog rating 3-05-2009 (Flip-top bottle) This beer when poured has a small tan head with poor retention, transparent body, visible carbonation, no lacing, and the hue of the body is reddish. The aroma consists of malt, alcohol, notes of caramel, spicy, and sweet. Ditto for the taste. The palate is tingly along with a warming sensation and this is a light-medium bodied Barley Wine. All-in-all, this is a sipping beer given the ABV, and is worthy of trying. I would definitely drink this beer again and I recommend it.

1L bottle, not sure of vintage (at least 5 years old). Poured medium amber with a ring of looser-bubbled beige head. The aroma picked up warm, aged dark fruits, vinous notes, and molasses with accents of dry, earthy spices, rum, and juniper really deep down.. warm and well-balanced. The flavor found dark fruits, licorice, and lesser smoked malts at the core.. rye, dry, toasted earth, and candied fruit skins around.. belly-warming finish.. this showed some age, but it aged really well. Medium-plus bodied with lower carbonation on the palate.. soft and almost buttery across the middle.. this was really good.

Thin white head. Blond/amber pour. Bitterness in the aftertaste. A good brew which benefits from aging.
