De Tumulus 800 is een pittig tarwebier. Het wordt net als grote broer “Magna” gebrouwen met behulp van 4 moutsoorten en dit volledig volgens het eeuwenoude “Reinheitsgebot”. Dit bier wordt artisanaal gehopt met een edele hopsoort, hetgeen resulteert in een zeer fijne en kruidige bitterheid. De Tumulus 800 wordt niet gefilterd en ondergaat na de hoge gisting een tweede hergisting op fles. 14°

Taste from 33 cl bottle, zbf. Almost clear golden color, with a white head. Aroma malt, spcie touch, fruits. Medium body. Taste fruits, rounded bitter, spices, hops. Dry and bitter finish. Love it !

33 cl bottle, ’bbe’ Feb 2013. Shiny golden with a fine veil, bubbles rising from the bottom. Rich, lacy white head. Aroma of malt and quince, with a touch of vegetables. Smooth, rounded taste with a fruity-bitter finish and a very long, bitter, herbal aftertaste. Creamy texture, good body, soft carbonation. Generous and satisfying.

Bottle from Beer Planet. Light orange body with medium puffy head. Nose of citrus, fruits and hops. Taste of malts, caramel, some hops and nice and bitter in the finish. Packs a good punch. Enjoyable.

(Draught at Delirium Tap Bar, Brussels, 18 July 2012) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of citrus, grass and generous amounts of fresh hops. Malty, slightly hoppy taste with citrus, grass, hay, grapefruit, grainy malt, bread and a fresh, citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Refreshing and quite tasty. Nice one.

33cl Bottle at Domus, Leuven. Hazy pale yellow colour, rocky white head. Aroma is quite floral, pale and wheat malt, light perfume, all very light. Flavour is quite floral, dry malty, pale malts, wheat, light sweet, hint of lemon, firm hoppy bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied. Nice and refreshing imo.

Aroma is wheaty with yeast, hay, bubblegum and citrus. Flavour is mostly the same with wheat, citrus and hay. Some hops kick in in the finish. Nice and refreshing, would work on a hot summer day.

Pours cloudy golden colour with small head. Aroma of wheat, grass, herbs, mild banana and toffee. Flavour of banana, wheat, toffee, mild caramel malts, citrus and herbs. Decent.

Pours a nice golden yellow. Aromas of of citrus, fruit, and a little yeasty. Flavor is crips, almost pilsner like. A little hops at the end.
