Brown, almost black. Very brown head. Nose: coffee, malts, bit smokey hints of yeast. Taste is very much coffee, caramel, average carbonation. Finish is creamy, but feels not that balanced, very dry, too overwhelming. Okey beer, but a bit of balance to me.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems. BBF 11/10/2014. Black but not the darkest black, fading creamy mocha head. Nose carries some roast, slight ashes, slightly creamy, cheap chocolate, the kind of cream additives you get for your coffee in café’s, light liquorish & roasted malts. Taste is roast, coffee roast, very powdery, slight ashes, some of the previously mentioned coffee cream, grounds, roasted malts, slightly milky. Lighter stout body. Yowza, a good stout from Belgium, now there is not many you see around of those. Great beer. Apparently won the Silver Medal at the Brussels Beer Challenge in 2012, rightly so. Very delicious, Stouterik is probably the only one that beats this one from what I have had so far as far as Belgian stouts’s go, only stouts, no RIS’s.
