Tap @ hold’em
Diacetyl, like sniffing melted butter.
Heat treated as well. The bartender dosen’t even know it’s actually called Antoon blond.
Non sense beer. Tastes of butter and alcohol. Really couldn’t get much worse. I hope.
Undrinkable

330 ml bottle. Orange body with a white head. Aroma is fruity, spicy and yeast. Flavor is refreshing, spicy a bit acidulous and bitter. Like somewhere between golden Belgium ale and wit. It’s rather nice.

On draught at The Dove Free House, Hackney. Pale golden with a modest eggwhite-like head. Very neutral malts aroma. Mildly hopped, some toffeeish caramel and that characteristic fruity De Koninck yastiness. Well-carbonated. Not quite the same as its copper-coloured brother.

(Bottle 75 cl) Pale golden, very weak white head. A spring-like, flowery nose, buth otherwise rather thin. A bit of malt, a bit of...well nothing actually. My parents-in-law liked it, which is definitely not a good sign. 310599

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 highlandlad (1329) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - JAN 30, 2005
Very easy drinking for its 6% abv. Poured a lager-gold colour with a 2cm white head. Intriguing nose dominated by hops but with some underlying spices, bubblegum and green apples. The palate is chewy with a long, dry finish. Fruit in the middle and some malty sweetness. Smooth drinking. (Bottle)

Draft at the Lowlander Cafe in London. Not sure what the deal is with this but I had this on draft on 9-9-04. Small white head atop a golden body. Nose is vanilla, fruit (citrus, possibly lemon) and yeast. Taste is odd with fruit and yeast notes mixed with sweetened malt and some flowery parts. Light candy flavors as well. Body is alive with carbonation and some sharpness is rthe result. Finish is sort of sweet but has a cardboardy flavor in there.

The aroma is of hops, yeast, straws, and fruit. The color is orange and it has no head. The flavor is of corriander, fruit, and hops; aroma as well as bitter. The bitter hops giving it a slightly bitter finish. A very nice Belgian drinking ale.
