Only time I have ever had it was at the brewery in Antwerp. Perhaps my recollection is a tad clouded, but I loved this beer. Citrus on the palate initally, but mellowed. Lovely colour. great head. A beer lovingly brewed.

Frothy pilsner looking beer with a fresh fruity aroma and a hint of lemon zest. The flavour is generally lightly hopped. Overall a very smooth drink.

Well for a 'Belgian Ale' it really tastes like a lager. Anyway this is a fine beer that has a very pils finish. The initial nose is saaz or hersbrucker and the mouthfeel is excellent. Strangely described, but a fine beer.

Draught. A less complex version of the original De Koninck. A perfect beer to enjoy in the sun, peoplewatching.

Very easy drinking for its 6% abv. Poured a lager-gold colour with a 2cm white head. Intriguing nose dominated by hops but with some underlying spices, bubblegum and green apples. The palate is chewy with a long, dry finish. Fruit in the middle and some malty sweetness. Smooth drinking. (Bottle)

Malty, peppery peacharoma and taste. Sweet with just a hint of sourness. A bit on the thin side.

Bottled. Golden colour, moderate thin white head and quite low condition. First aroma was mackrel , which I didnt expect, followed by caramel malt and peppery hops. Soft in the mouth with a butterscotch and toffee malt heavy flavour, and some hop flavour to take the sweetness away. Some trace sulphur notes, a slight tanginess and a nagging suggestion of fish again. Finish is quite long with some hop, but I couldnt get the fishiness out of my head. I had chicken for tea BTW.
