3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Metalchopz (1173) - Quebec, CANADA - DEC 5, 2011
Originally rated December 2005. Bought at the LCBO, part of 4 bottle package with a De Koninck glass. This one pours a pale amber colour with golden highlights. Not much head, nor retention, and a small light touch of lacing. The nose is a nice mix of fruity and caramel malts with notes of bread. Mild bitterness is found in the taste. The fruit is there too, like green apples and apricots, mainly in the finish. Lots of cereals and lightly bodied. Decent blonde, but missing some punch in the mouth.

Quite golden in appearance. Moderate head. Sugary nose, hints of cherries and summer fruits. The taste is easy and sweet. The mouthfeel is medium, smooth. Overall, easy to drink if a bit forgettable.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 patricks110 (810) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 23, 2011
The pour is a non-cloudy golden orange with a thick foamy white head. Some good carbonation and a thick ring of lacing is left. The nose is blandly spiced with a light wheaty grain and a prevalent sweetness. Notes of mild citrus and dried fruits as well as a mild floral hop on the nose. The taste is sweet with notes of lemon rind, coriander, dried apricot and orange peel. Very grainy and boring malt with a lack of dryness and bitter hops on the finish. Overall, a bit unusual and lacking the yeast up front with nice floral esters. I’d say this one falls short of the mark in most categories, but it is a nice Session Belgian beer.

Too much co2 bubbles in the mouthfeel, kinda ruins the taste. Decent color and smell.

Unclear orange gold color with a white head. Smell malts. Malts in the taste, don’t really like it. Kind of dry and not very good mouthfeel.
