2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Papsoe (22985) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 1, 2005
(Bottle 33 cl) Beautiful, orangey golden colour with a small, creamy head. Some malt and a small, dry bitterness. Actually has a strong alcohol presence in spite of the rather suddued alcohol for a Belgian. Reminds me more of a strong lager. Have a suspicion that this is actually just a renamed "Antoon". I’m sad to say this, but De Koninck hasn’t really made a decent beer since Cuvee d’Antwerpen in 1993. 200505

Bottle, 6%. Clear golden colour, OK white head. Fruity aroma. The flavour is also fruity, a little yeasty with a hint of veg. But the alcohol does well to harmonize the beer.
