Ungstrup (11353), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 23, 2004 An unclear red beer with a small fast disappearing head. The aroma is sweet with notes of fruit and berries. The flavor is of fruit, cowberries, and hops. A nice beer. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 26, 2004 Bottled. Clear deep amber. Sweet. Brown sugar and caramel is dominant. The mouthfeel is clean and rounded, interruptedby a slightly spicy, hoppy finsih with some bitterness. Flawless, quite pleasant but fairly middle-of-the road, as far as Belgian ales are concerned. Papsoe (10267), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 24, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Born as "Cuvée Antwerpen" when this city was the cultural capital of the EU in 1993. Hazy, dark amber - not much head. Very soft mouthfeel, some caramel and spices. And also some typical De Koninck fruitiness. A bit like what you would expect if you took the standard De Konick and added another 3% alcohol. Nice one. 260695 Oakes (6969), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 24, 2002 On tap at the White Horse, Parson’s Green...dark amber; sweet, very malty; candyish notes. Maybe it was just the change of pace from all those English beers, but I liked it. joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 21, 2005 Bottled at RBESG 2005.
Orange coloured with an off white head.
Aroma of dried fruits and wood.
Flavour of wood with some sweetness and notes of fruits and dried fruits.
