Basically fine blond ale. You think you’re going to be drinking a standard American pilsner but then you get that lovely Belgian profile with the subtle fruits and especially citrus notes. Perky mouthfeel. Decent drinking on a lovely summer night. (On tap at De Paas, The Hague)

Not a bad ABT beer of the month (don’t remember which), but not very special either. Nice color, nice taste but low body.

From tap when it was ABT beer of the month (June 2010). Taste was quite good but the mouthfeel ruined the experience a bit.

Draught @ Kafe Belgie. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma is grainy and light malted. Flavour is light grainy, a bit sweet, bit of caramel, a bit sour.

Tap@LocusDelft. Very clean and blond version of the regular De Koninck if you’d ask me. Light sweet, bitter, hoppy. Refreshing but boring.

Keg at Locus Publicus, Delft. Gold with white head. Quite farmy on the nose with hints of ripe cheese, then a malty, fruity, smooth beer with reasonable balance. Pretty fair.

UPDATED: JUL 23, 2010 Tap at de beurs Meppel, amber dense head, aroma hoppy somewhat sourish,taste is hoppy somewhat dry somewhat bitter reasonable long and bitter finish.

Tap @ Wildeman. Clear yellow color, short frothy head. Aroma of some hop, bit caramel malt, bit grassy. Quite bitter grassy taste.

Draft @ Wildeman. Clear golden pour, medium sized dense creamy off white head. Aroma is malty with some floral hops.
Refreshing malty sweetness with proper hop backbone. Nice balance.

From tap@In de Wildemann, Amsterdam. A layer of blond cream head over a crystal clear, yellow-golden body. Limited aroma; lemony fruitiness, sweetish pale malts and some dusty hops. Medium sweet malt flavor, with some sugary lemon notes. Mildly hopped. Light to medium body. Easy on the palate. Does not stand out, but easy and balanced with ok drinking abilities

Small white foamy head.
Smell is a mix of hop, fruits and hint of malts (as in a pilsner).
Color is golden yellow.
Taste is malty, grainy and fresh.
Hints of fruit (citrus) and spices.
Like a fresher and better pilsner version.
