JorisPPattyn (4248), Antwerpen, Belgium Apr 25, 2004 (Original bottle, so 1 1/2 year old)
Dark foxy-brown, slight haze; good yellowish head, fast gone. Grassy, slight spices, fresh(!) malt in the nose. Bitterish (German hops), with a lot of sweet and roasted malts. Roasted flavours, faint fine spices (nutmeg?, cardamom? cinnamon? garden spices?), cookies, slightly vinous. Medium bodied, filled texture, slightly slick mouthfeel. The Pagadder one-off was later expanded into the Winter Koninck. Agreable, both as a young beer and now. jbrus (4056), Delft, Netherlands Sep 26, 2003 Very fruity, raisin aroma.
