COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with addition of biological cane sugar from South America, instead of the ubiquitous Belgian white candi sugar.

Amber, modest white head. Fruits and caramel. Light bitterness. Strong yet rather smooth. Found this much better that other people’s ratings would indicate, a nice tripel.

Goudkleurig bier. Met heelveel CO2 ( bijna onrustig in je mond)erg zoet van smaak. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bit boring and average tripel. Taste is quite flat and the body thin. Pilsner like tripel.

Thx! to Kraddel for the bottle. 33 cl. bottle sampled. Presumably 2008 or 2009 Vintage. Clear amber with an off-white head. Nose carries very dominant oxidation notes but this has oxidized very well, honey & caramel notes, flowers, sugar, fruits with light dates. Taste is the same deal with oxidation, faint sherry, honey, caramel, lots of brown & candy sugar, toffee, sweet, flowers, faint floral, biscuit, toast,… Slick but not very heavy oxidized. Didn’t expect anything from this one, I am a bit surprised as to how well this has kept, tripel’s should have the ability to withstand some time. This I assume was a mediocre beer that probably drinks better now than it ever did. Also where is this like distributed? I have never seen this one but there are lots of recent ratings of it up here.

from tap, pours clear amber with a small white head. the aroma is a bit sour, with some malts. not balanced at all. the taste is full of alcohol, bits of grain... no not good at all. the original koninck is still the best

Helles Bernstein mit reichlich Schaum. Karamell- und Toffee im Aroma und im Geschmack. Obwohl recht süffig, etwas zu aromenarm und auch zu süß. Lasst am besten den Kandis aus dem Sud.

Bottle from Mam and Dad’s holiday, Belgium. A golden beer with a sweet spicy fruity flavour, malt, caramel and almond notes with a slight sugary and warming fruity finish.

33cl bottle. Orange and hazy with very small head. Nose : strong carbonation with medium thick body. Very sweet and orange flavoured start. Grains. Yeast. Too big carbonation to swallow it easily. Typical fruity esters plus there is a lot of orange. Not at all my kind of beer.
