On tap at Cafe Gollem, Amsterdam on 14th March 2013. Reddish amber with thin off-white head. Rich fruity aroma with wood and pungency. Fruity berries and citrus in-mouth, with sweet tangy, fruity finish. The mouthfeel is zingy.

On tap at Max’s during Belgianfest. Pours brown with a white head. Flavors of dried fruit, caramel, figs and spice. Not bad at all.

Amber, off-white frothy head, loads of sparkling, yeast.
Flavours of caramel, herbs, bitter, alcohol. Bitter finish. Freshening for a winter beer.

Draft at Eulogy. Dark orange brown pour with a fluffy white head. Slightly funky dark wheat Dubbel with some mild dark fruit notes. Figs. Dates. Burnt caramel biscuits. Brown sugar. Sour plum pudding. Orange seeds. Cherry cordials. Candied ginger. Charred coconut. Some interesting notes. Decent palate.

Tap. Pours clear copper with average, fizzy white head; decent retention and spare lacing. Aroma is cookie and cereal malts, figs, dates, floral hops, light pepper, and some herbs. Flavor is dry, bready malts forward with supporting grassy hops, some fruit esters, and light woody notes; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Tap at Max’s Taphouse. Pours clear brown with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is dates, figs, and plums with cookie and caramel malt and light earthy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with dark fruity esters and a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

Bottle 33 cl from Bier-Bienne (CH). Red brown with nice beige head and active crackling. Fruity nose, slight vinous, spices, hop. The taste is well malted, roasted and at first low in bitterness. There are toffy, barley, ripe fruits, spices and gruit. Bitter finish.
