Dark amber with a huge white lasting head. Fruity bitter aroma. Well balanced bitter sweet flavor: malts, caramel, rasins. I like it!

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at Zilt, Amsterdam. Amber color, good foam. Medium aroma intensity; honey , fruitiness , malt and light dried fruits. Medium body & complexity . A little on the sweet side. A pretty ok beer, but too sweet and dominated by honey for my taste.

(De Koninck Winterkoninck) Bottle 330 ml at home, as De Koninck Winter, served into a tall tulip, ABV 6.5%
Nice amber colour on the body, with lazy activity in it, and a tall and thick tan head on top. Very good retention, light lacing on the glass.
On the aroma light toffee, interesting hoppy notes too.
Taste is fruity, some caramel and light toffee, sugar and marmalade, red fruits.
Medium thin body, high carbonation.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A hazelnut brown coloured beer with a weak white head. A light fruity aroma, some sweet spice, a little bit like cough candy! Dry mouthfeel. The taste does follow on from the aroma, with lots of ripe fruit, sweet clove spice, and a caramel, boiled sweet flavour, which is all tempered with a mild sourness. The finish is mildly sour with a lot of fruit and spice.

Bottle from Dranken Verheijen in Poppel. The beer has a deep amber color and a nice large head, with a lot of bubbles. In the aroma clear tones of dark fruits, caramel, hops and malts. The taste is nicely balanced, with balance between a sweet taste, bitterness and a taste of roasted dark malts. The finish is fruity and light bitter.

On tap at restaurant Lieve. Dark brown pour with thin white head. Aroma is nutty, spicy, some dried fruit pretty typical belgium, nice toasty notes. Taste is sweet but pretty balanced, not too sweet or yeasty, light toasty notes to balance, not too boozy. Palate is med-full bodied with good carbonation. Decent.
