2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Rastacouere (5923) - Montréal, - MAR 7, 2005
Amber-copper, off-white head. Bah.. Very dull aroma, nothing Christmas about that, grainy amber ale providing branches, powder sugar and sweet cucumber flavours. A beginning of toasted malts, sweetened caramel and vegetables show up on the palate. Stale light body, biting carbonation. Bleh, I can’t believe such a mainstream, character devoided brewery still gets some praise through beer press.

1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 EithCubes (3340) - GERMANY - MAR 30, 2012
Bottle by 10/2012. Sweet nose with fruit and yeast, wheat and phenols (and a little singed plastic). Big ruby body with a creamy tan head. Intensely strong flavor, cherry-leaning fruit and, unfortunately, many of the trappings of a messy wheat beer - wheat, cloves, spicy yeast, plastic, and acetone. Light smoked note before the booze begins to shine through at the end. Medium-full body, aggressive heft and alcohol. A mess.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 justm (164) - Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 20, 2012
Tap at Tap East, Stratford, London. Pours a little on the darker side of amber with a thin off-white head. The aroma is a little sour cherry and a hint of caramel. Coriander seed orangeness is also in there. Drying and a little oily on the palate. Taste is of subtle sour cherry, orange, apricot, and a little musty wet wood. There is a dry sour irange aftertaste.
