screwball (796), Motala, Sweden Oct 5, 2007 Golden orange-yellow. Thick creamy head. Aroma has banana, hops, fruit, candy nad vanilla. Complex aroma! Flavor is fruity, some yeast and banana. LinusStick (1831), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 2, 2007 Nice belgian. Not too strong and in your face sweet as some tend to be. More hoppy than a lot of them also. Pour was a nice dark amber with a one finger off white head. Aroma had some hops and sugary malt. Taste was yeasty and well carbonated with hints of sugar, sticky malt and a hoppy dry aftertaste. Nice work. downender (2537), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Sep 30, 2007 Bottle. Deep amber with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, grassy hops and some red fruit. Easy drinking with a malty flavour and a decent dry finish. Good. cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 30, 2007 On tap at the Sharp Edge Creekhouse in Crafton. A little more orange than the ubiquitous pale yellow american lager but it’s just as clear. Creamy thin head. Barely any arom but the slight aroma it does have is a clean sweet candy. Rather nice taste impact, friendly and well mannered. Easy to like and no sweat to enjoy. Barely any carbonation. Has some earthy character and feel on the palate and taste buds. Beautiful lacing. Finish is just simply well behaved and amicable. Very good session brew, if I could afford it. stefanje (937), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA Sep 23, 2007 Updated: Aug 14, 200811 oz bottle from Bevmo. Poured a rich amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma is faint with malts, some spice and grass. Flavor was watered down caramel, some semi-sweet malts and a bit of hops. Mouthfeel was thin and watery with adequate carbonation. Finish was short with hops and a sweet metallic aftertaste. Overall; I won’t be drinking this unless I’m in Belgium and its on tap. ilovedarkbeer (1326), Dallas, Texas, USA Sep 22, 2007 Below average belgina. Pours a brownish read color. Smells of malt and some hints of fruits. Tatses very malty and sweet but the flavor is less than complex. Nothing special here. ElJefe (553), Rochester, New York, USA Sep 17, 2007 Amber with an off white head. Aroma is grassy, floral, and mildly yeasty. Flavor of lemon zest and some caramel, with a yeasty bite. Somewhat acidic, with woodsy hops in the finish. Smooth and full on the palate. Drinkable and tasty enough, just don’t expect to be blown away. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA Sep 14, 2007 Pours a clear amber with lots of lacing on the way down. Nose is slightly yeasty and slightly sweet, though the environment I tasted it at was probably not the best for it. Flavor is smooth with a slight sweetness and a touch of mature bitterness. Mouth is smooth with bubble. Drinkable, yes. But still not the greatest Belgian brew I have ever had.
