Bottle, pours a fairly clear copper color with a thin white head that quickly dissipates. Light aroma slightly sweet maybe a hint of apple or carmel apples. Fizzy, some yeast kind of watery, not a whole lot going on its fine but a bit more volume and character would be appreciated.

emacgee (2844) - Carrboro, North Carolina, USA - OCT 3, 2008
Pours a quasi-murky amber with a ton of carbonation and a fizzy light tan head. The nose is sweet, a tad earthy, some metallic rustyness, corn, . The flavor is slightly sweet, cornish, some earthy character, grassy leafy hop character. For as carbonated as it looks in the glass there isn’t much in the mouthfeel. Pretty underwhelming.

Bottle. Amber copper colour with thin magicly disappearing head lie a magicians rabbit. Strange aroma, bit dusty and flowery. A little disappointing for me. Something a bit odd and chemical like in the flavour. Not terrible but up against some stiff opposition in it’s class. Kind of like Pedro Rizzo.

Reddish with lots of floaters. No head. Sweet and quite complex. Malty with very low low carbonation. Quite a good beer.

Draught, Everyman Bistro, Liverpool. Seem to recall quite enjoying this over the years and this was one of the first Belgians that I returned to. Not quite sure how it stands up now though on the evidence of my most recent taste. It just seemed a bit pedestrian and lacklustre. Wouldnt mind trying in Antwerp to see if its any improvement....
