Amber color with a frothy antique white head. Slightly fruit aroma, Slighly sweet flavor, a bit of grassyness. Thin body. A great seeions beer, and much better out of the tap then out of the bottle. Bottle from LCBO. Lightly bitter, medium sweetness. Cheap body. tiggmtl (4307), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jan 31, 2006 Meaty, buttery, mostly sweet aroma with some doughy yeast character. Clear amber coloured body with a low white head that recedes to a thin cover with patchy lacing. Buttery flavour has vegetal notes and a cardboard-like staleness. Some caramel sweetness and herbal hops with mild bitterness. Medium body with fairly low carbonation. Bottle (BB. Nov-06) sampled with MartinT, Olivier MTL, Rastacouere and Siroy. MartinT (5026), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jan 30, 2006 Any first impressions?
-Scant head lasting over clear copper-orange.
-Exuberant orangey fruitiness lays on pils-like, bready malt.
-The well-hopped finish is appreciated.
-The carbonation and thin body are obviously made for quaffing.
What if you dig deeper?
-The dry wooden hoppiness in the aroma could appear vegetal to some.
-Vaguely caramelly maltiness is not polished, and in the end nearly tasteless.
-What else could you expect from an ordinary amber ale?
Bottle; best before November ’06.
