DerWeg (750), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 10, 2005 Deep amber, lightly hoppy and slight bitter fragrance with yeast. Taste is fruity malt profile, only a little sweet, dry-grassy hops are present. Pleasant and forgettable. blankboy (3165), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 9, 2005 Bottle. Pours a clear bubbly orangey-amber with an average size lasting rocky off-white head. Nice lacing. Pretty good looking beer. Mild aroma of malt, fruit, light hops and yeast. Flavour is sweet fruity malt with a mild bitter aftertaste. A pleasant surprise to taste hops in a Belgian Ale. Not terribly exciting but still a well balanced, enjoyable and easy to drink beer. rederic (1787), montréal, Quebec, Canada Nov 8, 2005 Updated: Nov 30, 2005Amber-orangeish hue, with a shy tan-colored head, with a malty nose, toasty malt and fruity aromas follow through on a medium-bodied palate with a fruity, malty character, grainy, toasty accent, with in an emerging hop bittrness finish. kumite56 (461), Cordova, Tennessee, USA Nov 7, 2005 Amber color toped by a nice off white head with moderate lacing. Sweet, mild and nicely balanced. Moderate fruit present. Medium bodied and supported by a relatively low alcohol content. Not bad. caledonian (367), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Nov 6, 2005 Dark amber. Caramel, nuts, cheese, and alcohol aroma. Malts are dominant in the flavor, but not heavy. Silky finish. Schanulleke (8), Netherlands does not count Oct 30, 2005 A little yeasty and a very subtile hoparoma (Saaz) when tasted fresh at the brewery. One of the best beers in the world. mreeves (257), Sammamish, Washington, USA Oct 28, 2005 Very hoppy for a Belgian ale. Nice copper color, good head retention. Tasty but not spectular. Joeh (1908), Buckinghamshire, England Oct 19, 2005 Bottled. Little flavour at first, but has a little more the further down the glass you get, finishing up well. Very average though.[3.0/5]
