Bottle. Clear light amber-orange with a white head. Nothing terribly good or bad in the aroma, some light fruitiness, apples, toffee and some yeastiness. Not as dry as I would’ve hoped but there is some earthiness that cuts through some of the fruitiness/sweetness. Lighter body with very tight, bubbly carbonation.

Obviously very very well known, at least in Belgium and The Netherlands. It’s not so special though, at least not to me. Color is nice, deep dark reddish. But the smell and taste are flat and a bit boring.

Not really a fan of this one. The colour is pretty nice. All the other things score below par. But too much bubbles for me.

Fruchtig-malziger Antrunk, eine süße Note versucht sich erfolglos durchzusetzen. Malzmuffiger, etwas wässriger Mittelteil, die Herbe setzt sich langsam durch und wechselt nach und nach ins trocken bittere. Leicht hopfig. Kann mich nicht vom Hocker reißen.

On tap at Mahars. Pours a clear amber with lots of bubbles. Flavor is apple skins and bitter sweet yeasty malt, not very strong, average for a beer, below for a Belgian

Sweet malty and fruit aroma. Clear amber color with a small white head. Mild bitter and highly carbonated beginning with a sweet middle and mild finish.

Bottle. Color amber with small head. Aroma malt, fruit, caramel. Taste sour, caramel, dry.

Draft in NYC. Hazy golden brown, creamy white head. Sour malting, tart lagery finish. Light and refreshing. Not crazy or special.
