330ml bottle, Safeway, room temp. Frothy, off-white diminishing head, fair lacing. Clear red/amber body, filtered, lightly carbonated. Nutty toffee aroma. Medium mouthfeel, nutty malt taste with nice dryish hop finish.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 wilkie (1209) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - SEP 8, 2004
Bolleke Draught. Brown color with a small white head. Slight malt in aroma, not much else. Flavor is yeasty and has spice. There is an ending with sweet malt and slight bitterness.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 igel (196) - New Mexico, USA - SEP 2, 2004
Pours a hazy golden brown, with a weak head (and poor retention at that); yet it is lively and effervescent. The smell is of bread, fruit, and a grassy background. The flavor has a crisp start, sweet middle and a dry, spicy finish. The feel is smooth and slippery with a balanced effervescence and a lingering dryness.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JonMoore (1573) - Loughborough, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 30, 2004
Bottle Safeway. Amber coloured with a short-lived tan head. Aroma is hops, malts and some fruit. Hoppy and fruity flavour with some background malt. Very mild, bordering on bland. Slightly carbonated, mdium bodied, medium to thin mouthfeel. OK but I was expecting better.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Cobra (1079) - In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA - AUG 30, 2004
11.2 oz. brown, longneck bottle. Freshness date is of 05/12/05.
Poured out a deep copper color, with a minimal head. The head was tan in color, and it faded quicker than it started. It left a smattering of foamy bubbles around the rim of the glass. Aromas are very weak, it’s really hard to pick out anything above the background. Slight stale malt aromas. No hops aromas or flavors either. Mouthfeel is thin, flavors are weak. Tastes like a stale Budweiser. Not much worth trying again. I know I won’t be buying it again.

Bolleke-draught in the Cellar, St. Andrews. Dark amber colour and medium head. Aroma of spices, hops and fruits. Fantastic. Complex palate: yeast, coriander, hops, nuts, plums and lot more. Unforgettable experience.

Amber color with a large thick white head. You can smell the aroma of hops
and malt very clearly along bread and oak. Very hoppy, fruity flavor but is not sweet. Very dry.
