Hbuck72 (122), Chickasha, Oklahoma, USA Mar 24, 2009 Nice amber color pour, smells of sweet grains, not much head. Very smooth on the palate, sweet malts, nice sweet aftertaste, but not too strong.
Very good beer, will buy again. Cybercat (778), Georgia, USA Mar 22, 2009 Pours a nearly opaque light chocolate brown with a thick, fine-bubbled ecru head. Aroma is malty, hoppy and subtly chocolaty. Mouth-filling malty flavor has hints of molasses, chocolate, nuts, hops and spice. Texture is smooth, fizzy, and quite pleasing. Scauca (408), Lovere, Italy Mar 11, 2009 A clear amber appearance with a vanishing little white head. Some caramel, a flowery touch and than yeast & yeast. Just some sweetness in mouth, lacking any complexity whatsoever. Nordcore (266), North of, Norway Mar 10, 2009 Bottle 33 CL. Apperance; Amber, clear with Virtually no head. Aroma; Light flovers with hops and light bitter flavor and a bitter ending. TheCaptain (526), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 9, 2009 Bottle- Poured a caramel pale amber haze with some floaters. Head simmered away, lacing with foam ring. Tinge of yeast aroma but not much on the nose. Seems watered down with mellow hops, malts, yeast. Bit more flavor through the middle and some mild bitterness towards the end. fata2683 (836), Panama City, Florida, USA Mar 8, 2009 on tap, pours amber with a tall off white head. Light aroma of malt and faint hops. Flavor is sweet malt and light bitter/spicy finish. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA Mar 7, 2009 This ale pours with an amber hue and a large head. Nose is really delicate, but shows a touch of spicy/peppery hop character and sweet fruity malt. Flavor is clean, dry and herbal. Better than almost every U.S. amber ale. BillyMidnight (41), Alberta, Canada Mar 3, 2009 A real disappointing part of a gift pack that also included the surprisingly bold De Koninck Blond and the underrated Winterkoninck. Pours a nice colour, raising expectations even more, but just doesn’t have the flavour to back it up. Weak up front and then stale and unpleasant. Kinda like striking up a conversation with a gorgeous woman, but finding out she’s got nothing to say.
